Living in a city like Hong Kong, you will most likely find yourself without any space, living in a tiny flat. Having a crafty hobby, could be really problematic if you have no space to store a sewing machine, let along set it up or cut fabric.
This is very the very genius idea of shared work space comes in. And in a city like Hong Kong, this works particularly well. And so enters The Crafties.
The Crafties, situated in Sheung Wan, just west of Central, is a shared work space with everything you would need to practice a variety of crafts. Entering The Crafties is like walking into crafting heaven. A large open-plan space is dominated by a central setting of tables whilst the walls surrounding have all manners of supplies and goods for sale ranging from leather work, sewing, jewelry making and now KPC yarn.
The Crafties also holds regular classes teaching a variety of crafts. I am still sad to have missed the xxx doll painting class.
The great thing about The Crafties is that it becomes a space to learn a new craft and also meet some likeminded folks. Perfect if you are new in Hong Kong!
KPC Yarn is very excited to team up with The Crafties so look out for some exciting courses in the near future. In the meantime, drop in, squish some yarn and learn a new craft.
Did you attend the beginner knitting class using KPC Yarn today? Let us know how it went and post pictures of your completed scarf here on our blog, on our Facebook page or in Instagram. And don’t forget to follow The Crafties for updates on up and coming classes.
